FletchAir does carry the wing root fairing to wing rubber seal component. Easy to replace making use of a plastic putty blade to insert the seal. Make sure you put it on in the correct orientation. You also will need to cut a section of the seal’s tongue as you go past the spar.

Nice job bringing her back to life, and saving another Tiger!
BTW- did she come with the red lexan rudder cap? Roscoe had mentioned he was trying to find a supply to have these made, but haven’t heard anything in a long time.

For anyone looking to redo the interior of the Grumman with AirTex, I would contact Joseph Guegel Jr. through Facebook or GG. He has a well documented set of pictures of the steps for doing the job. His photo album and input was a great resource for me as I was going through it. Also, Dodd Stretch (good last name for this business), was more than willing to answer the multitude of questions I had.

Quick update. I got the seats completely done, floor and baggage carpeting in, and rear side panels/armrest done. Currently a two tone interior as the forward side panels will need to wait until after our move to Dublin, Ohio. One side note, I kept the plastic part of the runners that go below the rudder pedals. Plan to take them to an upholstery shop and have them sown to the AirTex carpet runners.
I’ll post some picks when I get a chance.

Hi All,
Just a quick update. Been delayed with all the bad weather here in the Midwest, and have not been able to get up to my AnP as quickly as I wanted. Today I finished Installing the foam and front seat covers. Not difficult, just take your time and it will come along fine. Have the rear seat seat backs done as well. When my AnP gets back from vacation, we will tackle the rear seat bench.
Big THANKS to Joseph Guegel who has posted a great discription of the process on his FaceBook page.

Scott,
Yes I did and the carpet and side panels arrived. The flint carpet and quartz material look good together. The premium fabric feels like it will hold up really well. Once the seats materials arrived will begin installation.

I am getting ready to order the entire interior for my 79 Tiger. Plan to install at annual in December. I’ll let you know how it goes and post some pictures. Dodd at Airtex let me know that the carpet does come with snaps like the original. Lower Side pieces need to be glued.
Thanks for posting the carpet pic. Was wondering how dark it would look in the plane. Looks good.

Tin snips to rough shape, and then low speed dremmel tool with cone shaped sander. Lots of trim, sand, fit, check… good luck. I bought a metal panel overlay from Gary Vought for my once owned Cheetah that was pre-cut. Fit perfectly.

Roscoe,
Are they brown now? When we bought them for my ex Cheetah many moons ago, they were blue.
