It seems that small cracks commonly appear in the wing root around the top attaching screws, particularly for the two forward ones. Is this most likely limited to the gel-coat or is it an indication of something more serious? And what is the main reason behind it and what corrective action is recommended?
The wing root fairings are laid up Fiberglass rather then plastic on most of the other fairings. These can be easily repaired using standard fiberglass techniques. Though removing the wing root fairing is no easy task. Maybe Roscoe has some insight on how to do that.
