      Over the years we have seen quite a few different fuel drain used in our planes. Yes the threads are the same but where the fuel is taken can be quite different. On Cessna fuel drains (which will fit in our planes) they allow up to 3/8 of an inch of water to be on the bottom of the tank. This is not right for our planes.

      Here are six different drains that have come out of our planes. Can you tell which are the legal ones? Do you know which ones are preferred by our Grumman maintenance shops?

      I vote for #2! But I (sadly) haven’t been around my plane in a few months… so that’s my excuse if I’m wrong.

      Going to fix that here soon though!

      I give. Which are legal?
      I have #1 inboard, #5 or 6 outboard
