      Hello Gurus!
My Tiger has developed a very irritating chirp coming from the right main gear that seems to correlate with one particular spot on the wheel. Every revolution of the wheel creates one chirp. So taxiing sounds like “chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp”. As I taxi faster, the chirping accelerates. Seems to go away at higher speeds. As much as birds sing when I pull out the Tiger, I don’t think this is normal. When I apply just a little right brake, the sound goes away. I tend to think my brake caliper might be dragging or something. Any thoughts on what might be the culprit?
      Thank you!

I would start by cleaning the anchor pins and the floating plate holes so that it truly does float easily.

      Cheers

I loosed the AN-4 bolts that sandwich the caliper to the anchor plate ever so slightly and this resolved the issue. I’ll have you take a closer look during my next annual, Roscoe.

After a test-taxi, I realized I had actually made the problem worse. So this weekend, I took the caliper OFF and examined the larger anchor pin and bracket and noticed a little corrosion . Maybe just enough to cause this noise. So I reviewed `Roscoe’s video here https://youtu.be/jMhFq76-8ss and did my best to clean the surfaces that rub. After cleaning, I added a bit of caliper grease to the inside of the pins, and (fingers crossed), so far so good. Really easy fix to this annoying problem! Thanks a bunch to Roscoe, my favorite Guru!
