Hi, new to me AA1B, left seat adjustment lever came off but looks in tact. Any idea on the proper way to reinstall it and what may have gone wrong or missing? Thanks

Attached is from the parts manual that shows how it attaches. If you do not have the parts and service manuals for the plane, that should be your first purchase. They can be downloaded from this site also, but it helps (me anyway) to have a printed copy when working on the plane.
It attaches with a screw, bushing, a couple of washers, and a nut to the side of the seat frame. Then there is a spring that attaches to holes on the arm and to a small bracket on the floor to pull down on the arm. If you are missing any parts, Roscoe should be able to help you out.

Thanks! I’ll be at the plane tomorrow to have a look. I’ll take some pictures anyways for reference.

I had a missing e clip in the seat frame and the bolt locating the lever to the seat bottom frame came out. Replaced with another and all is well now. I also made sure to tighten up the right seat as well since it too was getting loose. Thank you all for the help
