  It is in the AA-5A. I think the 5B is the same.

  It SHOULD be, Ray. That said, mine was (for some reason) relocated to the fuselage just forward of the tail. They had created a custom bracket, but no clue why this was done. Regardless, I had Fletchair move it back to the tail and re-calculate W&B.
  The AG-5B Tigers are mounted behind the pilot seat, if memory serves.

  Do most of you tiger guys/gals change your own ELT batteries or do you have the mechanic do it?

  I changed mine. It was in the tail cone of an AA5
