Hi Everyone,
I have a new to me 1975 AA5 Traveler that has leaks on both tanks at the inboard wing root/rib. I’m curious as to what the cost is usually to fix these issues. I spoke with a local A&P who is also a Grumman owner and reports that the wings need to come off in order to diagnose the leak. He tells me that if it’s at the rib, it could cost $7-8000 to fix. I’m more than happy to do as much grunt work as possible but wondering what people have paid and whether there are more cost effective ways of doing this.
