I have a 1977 tiger which is running beautifully with no squawks. I have attached photos of the front landing gear strut. From a strictly cosmetic point of view is there any technical reason not to lightly sand down the areas to smooth out the portions where the paint meets the missing paint and then carefully spray the whole thing with some white enamel paint? Is there a good reason not to do that? Thank you all

      Ray,

Just like you said, lightly sand, then repaint.

Use a good strong urethane paint and you will like the results.

      Cheers

      Roscoe
