      During an annual inspection you come across Engine Group #12 on the Annual or 100 hour Inspection Procedure.

      12. Drain carburetor bowl. Reinstall drain plug. Remove and clean
      carburetor fuel Inlet screen with acetone. Reinstall screen . . . .

      So here is some help on this. First a picture of a HA6 carb oriented so that away from the camera is the engine. Throttle is on the right and that is the mixture control on the bottom left. The inlet screen hides in the round box section with an AN fitting for hose on the left and a plug (with access for safety wire -removed here) on the right.

      The next picture shows the inlet screen fitted inside of the two end fittings sitting just away from the inlet housing.

      FYI: The easiest way to reassemble this islet screen is to screw both fitting in at the same time slowly, screen fitted into one end, and hope yo do not feel any resistance. If you do stop, unscrew, wiggle and start again. You DO NOT want to crush the inlet screen!
