      Kept smelling gas when ever I would throttle back or sometimes when I would switch tanks. Odor would go away when I turned on the electric fuel pump.
      Turns out the steel wraps around the heater hose had been touching the aluminum fuel line near the fire wall and had corroded the fuel line to the point that there was a ball point pen size hole in the line.
      Since it was on the suction side of the pump it only leaked when suction was reduced either by throttling back or switch tanks!

      Good catch. Be sure and check the oil pressure alum line so that it does not get worn away as well (located on the co-pilot side)
