      Gentlemen,

I just purchased 1976 AA-5A Cheetah N9846U, and couldn’t be happier. I sold my Cirrus SR22 in August, so the Cheetah flies lower, slower and is a bit more cozy, but I love this plane.

As I get fully up to speed on all the specifics of my plane, one immediate question I have is, how much fuel do I have on board if I fill to the tabs? FYI, I have the extended 51 gal tanks.

      Thanks,
      Jim

FYI, there should be a fuel loading point near the cap, 26.5 FULL, 19 Tabs.

      Roscoe,

Is that standard placard? If so, I don’t have it on my plane (admittedly, it has been repainted twice).

I did poke around yesterday, looked in the tanks with a flashlight (couldn’t get my lighter to work LOL) and saw that it is engraved “19 Gal” right on each tab. Kind of embarrassed that I posted the question now.
