The factory put 7 rivets in the tail on each side top and bottom. With the latest AD out on the Traveler tail, these DO NOT constitute a repair in the AD. That will save you a bunch of shop time not having to do the repair via the AD.
This is because there is a carry through spar stiffener that was added to the AA-5 tail over what was done on the AA-1. To remove the fin from the AA-5, you have to drill out all those rivets. See #13 on the attached picture from the service manual. This is the same for the AA-1C.
