  How much airspeed loss would occur if I removed the Tiger wheel fairings? I would prefer to inspect the complete tire surfaces during a pre-flight walk-around – not possible with the fairings in place. I am willing to trade a few knots of airspeed for a better pre-flight. Any estimates on airspeed loss? Jim

  According to the pilot handbook they list 2-3 mph loss with no main fairings.

  Thanks for the information, Roscoe. The fairings will be permanently removed at the next annual. I will gladly trade 3 knots for easier access to the tire valves and a more thorough pre-flight walk-around inspection. Jim

  I’m looking for hardware to install wheel fairings on my AG5B not previously installed. I have found new fairings, but no hardware to be found. Recently purchased the plane and want to maximize speed mods.
