The previous owner included a wooden stick gauge that looks well calibrated. The tanks both have recent 25.5 gal stickers for a total of 51 gals.
Recently I flew distance and the stick read 4 gals in the right wing and 6 gals in the pilot’s wing. I topped of the airplane personally and it took only 29 gals, not 41.
I’m assuming that the stick doesn’t measure accurately from the position of the fuel tank opening. Any better ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
