      Hello group,

I have a 1969 AA1 that started dripping fuel from a small tube, I would say about an 1/8th” aluminum tube. The tube is in the center of the bottom fuselage directly below the spar / fuel tank. I have set the fuel selector valve to right, left and off and it still drips about one drop every three seconds. The tube looks like it should be some kind of a vent. I don’t see any signs of fuel under the wings or around any seams just the drip from the tube. Anyone out there have an idea of what the cause of my drip is?

Attached is a picture, and yes I know the belly needs a good cleaning!

      Thank you,
      Mark

      Mark,

This leak is coming from the inboard puck that seals the spar to make the fuel tank. The o-ring has cracked or failed, so the wing will have to come off, the outside sealant removed, the puck removed, and then a new o-ring installed, the puck put back in and sealed and the wing put back on the plane.

      Cheers

      Roscoe
