This will help the look of the plane if your fairing is in bad shape or even missing as many are.  It can be a stand alone project or part of a larger effort.

Sorry about the focus, but when you are replacing the V-Strut Fairing (that is glued onto the backside of the nose strut) you can notch it a bit like this so it fits into the nose boot and helps hold the fairing on the strut (that and contact cement).
