ParticipantHave you talked to Dave down in TX at fletchaire? he’s a genius and very approachable for insight, he also has replacement bungies and gears for the entire assembly.

ParticipantI should have said electric stall vane switch, also the speakers were for the radios, technically their part of the equipment list issued with the aircraft. These days we all use headsets so they can be removed, but the documentation should be correct. W&B adjustment, log book entry.

ParticipantFrank,
No angle of attack indicator unless yours has an add on somehow, just an electric switch vane on the right wing to a horn under the panel.
Use the links on this website to download a maintenance and parts manual for your plane, AA5 or AA1. 27-8-1 on the AA5 has a diagnostic chart.
start with the obvious, 5 amp fuse.Kevin

ParticipantEric,
Just finished fixing the same issue on my 77 Tiger, it’s the common tab on the down switch, fwd switch/outer(left side of aircraft) tab. It’s the power into the switch, spent hours with contact cleaner, it would work until it didn’t. My son working on his privates was getting proficient on no flap landings too. Turns out the tab was cracked, Fletchair has them for $14 but you will have to change the crimp terminals, the new switch has wider tabs. Both my switches had a good amount of surface scale/corrosion on all tabs.Hardest part is reinstalling, getting the little 6-32 lock nuts on underneath was a bitch. Put a little grease on your finger to hold the nut as you try to get under.

ParticipantNeed more details on what your asking, the air box is adhered to the side of the airframe around the NASA scoop using RTV. there are two screws that go vertically up into the bottom of the panel through two holes in the bottom of the box , plugs cover the holes.

Participantif not, could you recommend a suitable product to use, mostly need to re-prime the floor where carpet sliding around has polished it to bare aluminum.

ParticipantSuccess! what i assumed to be through rivets were just the ones holding the plastic end cap on the vent box. previous maint didn’t do anything incorrect, once i used a plastic scraper to work through the silicone it came right out. found one of the attachment screws rolling around inside the air box
