Can the AG-5B red rudder cap be installed on an older Tiger such as a 1976 model? I found that this cap/cover is still available from LP Aero. I am hoping that the red rudder cap is shorter than the jelly jar beacon and can be retro fit without being a major project. I have limited overhead clearance in my hanger. Even a couple of inches would help.

Another option to look at would be a combination strobe / taillight in the tail cone. You need to have wingtip strobes to do this and remove the flashing beacon from the rudder. You would then need an AA-1 (through AA-1B) Left Elevator tip (PN 302039-1) that would be a direct replacement of the rudder cap without the beacon. You would then need to re-balance the rudder.
Whoops, I see you were also the one asking about the TailBeacon ADS-B. Unfortunately you can’t do both. I was disappointed that uAvonics did not include the Strobe feature in the Tailbeacon, so you might be back to doing the Red Rudder cap. Ken Blackman may have had an STC. Roscoe can speak better to it. But I also understand that if you do that you should go to a strobe or LED as the Aeroflash beacon can run too hot and melt the plastic over time.
