Having never seen one this bad before, I thought I would share it.  I am sorry that I did not shoot other pictures of the frozen anchor pins in the torque plate assembly, but that is the way of working on planes. Bad Pressure Plate 1 Bad Pressure Plate 2Yeah, raises a few questions, does it not?  Here is what it looked like after removing the brake pad.Presure Plate 3 Pressure Plate 4Not exactly a flat surface, so this one id for the scrap bin.  BTW, this part from Cleveland Brakes 154-00600 is $101.75 (with discount!)

Okay, finally if I say this is from a well-maintained that has seen Grumman Shops (unverified), would you believe it?

      Cheers

You are supporting the argument that it is not necessarily about having maintenance and inspection performed by a “Grumman” experienced shop. Any, and I mean ANY IA should have rejected this brake system at the last annual. Perhaps it is more about knowing the character and standards of the person you have doing your inspections.
