      Hi gang,

I am fairly new to the Grumman community and would like to thank everyone for all there educational comments. Have a question for my 1979 AA5B Tiger. I am in the process of completely rewiring my Tiger and am at the point for doing my master and starter relays. This is my first time dealing with honey comb structure and would like to know where the best area is to burnish and attach a ground. Thanks for your help.

Be sure and put the large area washers back on the bolts on the inside of the firewall as these will prevent you from crushing the 1/2 inch honeycomb. Just do not tighten the bolts too much when changing the relays.

You can attach a ground to the firewall surface but most folks just take a ground all the way to one of the bolts on the oil pan of the engine. This is where the main ground goes from the battery.

      FYI
