we purchased a 92 Tiger this spring and currently have it in for paint.
After stripping, the shop noted copious amounts of “Bondo” especially in panel joints, around leading edges and rivet lines. (No known damage history or logged, anyway)
We were concerned about this, and wondered if there was an undiscovered problem or what.
The shop feels that the manufacturer leaned pretty hard on Bondo to smooth out the match lines, etc.
Has anyone else with this vintage of AG airplanes seen or experienced this?
Thanks
Dave
