      Can anyone tell me approximately how many billable hours it takes to complete a good pre buy on an AA1B?

      Thank you! I’m waiting to hear back from a maintenance shop on KMFR in Medford (Jet Center Medford) and will talk more with the owner about how far he is willing to fly it for the pre-buy tomorrow.

      Richard, is there someone or a shop you can recommend in your neck of the woods or somewhere in between? The owner just told me he is willing to fly it somewhere to facilitate the pre-buy inspection.

      Thank you very much for the information and the install suggestions, I sent a quote request to Chief aircraft to see what they say. The plane does have the O-235 engine in it and I’m pretty sure the prop is the climb prop but I’ll make sure to verify that. I’ll reach out to Bill Shepard, sounds like a good local resource!

      Do you (or anyone else that sees this) have any experience with or opinions of Pacific Aviation Northwest at Grants Pass, 3S8? I’ve requested a quote from them for a pre-buy inspection and they said they would e-mail it tomorrow.

      The seller just confirmed he is willing to fly up to the Salem area to accommodate a Pre-buy by a Grumman knowledgable A&P! Said it would be a fun little mission and he would like to meet a local Grumman expert. Seller is selling this AA1B because he bought one with an O-320 so I’m sure he will benefit from this as well.

      Can you please PM me their information so I can start coordinating it?
