ParticipantAlmost 4 years later and still getting same results for my engine pre- heating. Works well and simple to use. Added a picture of the unit.

ParticipantJust build an AA1 profile in Foreflight from the data in your owners manual. That’s what I did , accurate to within .3-.5 gallons/ 2-3 mins during a 2.5 hr flight. Fairly basic data but it works well.

ParticipantCouple things I’d check; The thumb screw that holds canopy open make sure it is fully loosened, take off the glare shield or crawl under the panel and see if the canopy rail is hitting insulation/wiring/etc. Also you’re missing the windshield bow seal , that will close the gap about 1/4 inch or so.

ParticipantIt is a metal overlay, it was installed prior to me buying so not sure where the decals came from but any graphics shop should be able to do them.

ParticipantAccording to the installation manual the gps input will be VFR only, without approach capability ( no glide slope), hopefully that changes w the certified version.

ParticipantI’m on the waiting list as well. I watched a friend install one on a RV8. Under 10 mins to install and 5 mins to configure. It is literally two screws, pos/neg wires and a iPhone app to configure. You can download the template w the dimensions, the two screws line up perfectly on AA1.

ParticipantThere has been some discussion on GG and GPA about rigging control surfaces on our aircraft. Here is the benefit of a properly rigged airplane; flying hands off at the top of the Green Arc with a lot of throttle remaining.
