Hello….a couple months ago I purchased a 1969 AA-1 Yankee (thin wing) with a Lycoming 0-235-C2C engine, and are interested in installing a spin on oil filter, which appears that it has to be attached to the firewall. Will this make the engine run any cooler, or perhaps an oil cooler still has to be installed ? Presently there appears no problem with the oil temperature, just trying to make oil changes less frequently and doing it myself.
