      Hello everybody,

      Thank you in advance for the admission. I bought a Grumman aa1a in October. Now I’m in the process of restoring it. So I have a question – I want to repaint the control horn. How do I best expand this. Drill open the rivet (picture 1) or loosen the screw under the cockpit (picture 2)?

      Remove the bolt behind the panel. I am not sure where to get a replacement rivet, as I recall it only has a Grumman part number in the parts catalog.
      I am restoring a Yankee, and I bead blasted my yokes and they are currently at the powder coating shop now. The shafts are not getting painted.

      I got my yokes back from the powder coating shop. They were done in “Oil Rubbed Bronze”, the same I had the metal panel overlay done in. I will be using the Gregoire leather Yoke Grips with them with PPT switches.
      These are the later style yokes used from the ’73 year model on…
