Hi, i was wandering if anybody had a solution to improve the aircraft pulling to the left when applying power on take off. my aircraft is an aa1a with the cruising prop on a 2600 ft runway crosswind most of the time. by the time i take control of the plane i lose 100-200 feet of ground roll using the right brake. The axle is torqued to specs 13-18 ft drag (by the book) anybody tried more drag to help the issue. when i land the aircraft all is straight on the landing roll so no alignment problem with the aircraft.

That is normal engine torque. The rudder does not start to have effect until you are going about 20 mph. One method I use is start the take-off roll with the nose pointed about 15 – 20 degrees to the right of the runway centerline. As you start the roll holding full right rudder the nose will swing around to the left and less right break is needed to hold the plane straight until the rudder starts working. A little practice and depending on the crosswind component you can minimize that amount of brakes needed on take-off.
