Time to get rid of the 44 year old interior. I also need to replace the flap indicating cable. I am trying to remove the center console plastic but I have not figured out how to remove the cigarette lighter. And advice? Need to replace the lighter and the console.

Also, the cover over the fuel gauges was held on by duct tape. Is that normal?

The fuel gauge cover should be help on by 4 screws at the four corners.

The cig lighter after electrically disconnected can be unscrewed under the console holding the top steady.

      Cheers

        Thanks Roscoe!

I wondered if the cigarette lighter came off that way but didn’t want to force it.

I pulled the 4 screws and the window over the guages was taped in place.

The cigarette lighter itself is rather worn and rusty. I have had to jiggle the USB adapter to make contact. Where would you recommend I look for s new one? Do we use the $90 TSO version?
