Have you been able to get that large format scanner set up? I’m still very interested in getting my Yankee paperwork up to snuff. I know you said there would be a fee so I would like to know what information you have for me, and i need to know how much I need to send to you, and the best means for payment. Roscoe, any information on the “Crosby” STC would be great. Do you know if the STC is still available, at least the paperwork. Also is there any place that might have a record of airframes that the STC has been applied or sold to? I know this is a bunch of questions but I’m wanting the paperwork to be in as much order as I can make it. Your patience any any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Btw… still searching for information on what appears to be a “Crosby” O-320 mod done to this AA-1 many, many years ago. Not able to find the 337 record with the FAA and the log book fragments have limited reference to it. I am willing to repurchase the STC if this is the only way to get the paperwork and POH supplements ETC if necessary and not too expensive but it seems a shame for a plane that has been flying fo 30+ years this way.
Isn’t 9309 the purple adhesive? I’m sure there are many “Purple” adhesives but does this bring any attention to the White vs Purple adhesive used in the wings? Also would the 9309 be the preferred adhesive used in bonding other structural members in a repair or is there another that should be used like 9394?
Is there any way to see if this STC has been sold/issued to a specific airframe from the current STC holder? I am working with an aircraft that appears to have had the STC installed but the records have been lost and the FAA has no record of the 337 being filed. Previous mechanics say they’ve seen the documentation in the logs but now those are gone. Perhaps repurchasing the paperwork is the only solution. Suggestions welcome.
Thank you Richard for responding. I contacted FletchAir and you are correct, their STC only applies to the Dynafocal model engines. The AirModsNW STC covers A, C, & E model engines but I’m led to believe that they no longer hold that STC. They referred new to Yankee Aviation but there my search went cold. Could not get any responses there. Still searching. Thanks again!
